Waking early to see this glassy water from the balcony of the farm house of which I was lucky enough to spend the weekend was too beautiful to just admire from afar. I love the Australian country side and the peace it brings.

Fernie

Home again after 5 months in Canada and what an amazing trip it was. Here are a few shots from the town of Fernie (where I lived) and surrounding areas. A place I truly hope to one day visit again.

Jibbing in Fernie

Mark (my flatmate) came home the other day excited about the BMX track in town which had recently been covered in snow and was apparently really fun to jib around in. Insistently, he had me go with him to check it out. So we somewhat ambitiously packed our boards and headed down, arriving to find some locals had beaten us there. In an attempt to save our dignity and our backs we left our boards in the car and decided to watch for a while. I instantly i regretted not bringing my camera! So much so that i drove home to pick it up. Pretty glad i did.

London

What an amazing 5 days! Seeing my sister for the first time in a year and 8 months, meeting hilarious people, catching up with friends and experiencing a glimpse of what London had to offer. Just perfect.

Paris

Even after the 4 hour drive to Calgary airport, the 8.5 hour flight to london, the hour standing in line at customs, the hour on the London tube, and then the 2.5 hour train to Paris, I realised I still hadn't made any plans as to what I was going to do once I got there! So I waited for another hour for a friend to arrive and kicked on into the night.

Waking afresh, I was excited to see what I could of this historic town! However, it turns out I didn't really see that much at all, rather choosing to wander the streets, soaking up the atmosphere as well as an astounding amount of cigarette smoke.

Allambie Waterfall

I have always wanted to take a photo of a waterfall! So, after hearing about one so close to home, I was super keen to get out there! All I needed was some cloudy weather, and considering it's still winter, I didn't think that would be too far away. I was wrong. 8 straight days of beautiful cloudless sunshine before finally getting my opportunity.
